Job Description Williams Law Group, LLC, is a boutique Family Law Litigation firm, handling divorce, custody, support, domestic violence, post-judgment and non-dissolution matters, as well as child abuse and neglect matters. We help people when they are facing difficult life challenges, often at the lowest point in their lives. We help families protect their most valuable asset, and we help save children from foster care - one parent at a time. We are looking for a dedicated professional to help us further these objectives. We are hiring an experienced family Paralegal for our Short Hills office. This professional will be responsible for client communications, scheduling and case management; producing, organizing and maintaining litigation documents and evidentiary materials; preparation of Case Information Statements and related discovery; drafting of simple motions, in consultation with attorneys; conducting research and retrieving documents and other evidentiary materials; and assisting in drafting documents and preparing for depositions and trials. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required; paralegal certificate from an accredited paralegal program preferred. Candidate must demonstrate ability to multi-task and prioritize work assignments, ability to build collaborative relationships with other functional areas within the Firm to meet deadlines and solve issues, professionalism, and ability to anticipate and act as a member of the team by assisting when and where needed. Must enjoy learning new tasks and undertaking new challenges. Experience with maintaining a billable hour goal or requirement, a plus.
