(Medical Communications - Promotional Medical Education)
This position is full time permanent staff role for a well experienced client service individual for a new opening as a Group Account Director, Director of Client Services, VP Account Director (titles vary from company to company). This role is strictly for promotional medical education/ medical communications. This position will act as the agency source for meeting and exceeding their client's brand objectives and report directly to SVP & Executive Management. Individuals will have prior experience working hands on with the client to provide strategic direction (campaign strategies, influences, drives, competitive pressures, brand influences, etc.) and by managing/working with the internal team to achieve tactical execution.
Job titles dont translate well across the industry agency to agency so Sr Account Director, Client Service Director, Group Account Director, Client Services Director; VP Account Director individuals are all urged to apply. The responsibilities and experience in Promotional Medical Education and Account/Client Services is required. Pre-Launch & Launch experience a plus.

Lead the development of innovative communications plans for assigned clients
Strong strategic planning and tactical execution experience
Strong knowledge and experience with marketing
Manage the client/agency relationship to ensure that strategic expectations and creative deliverables are being met for our pharmaceutical clients initiatives.
Experience managing multiple accounts or a very large agency account
Work with the client to create an overall tactical plan that supports and drives the brand messaging and achieves the clients objectives.
Experience managing direct report(s) as this role does have several people reporting into it
Provide pharmaceutical clients with strategic vision & customized solutions for medical communications (promo meded) programs
Continuously monitor the marketplace and provide updates and recommendations to the client and agency
Responsible for organic growth within assigned accounts, profitability, adherence to budget and timelines for program deliverables, and exceeding client expectations
Provide strategic insight & recommend projects and changes
Create and execute designed strategic, tactical and business plans
Ability to obtain complete understanding of the assigned therapeutic category
Lead team when appropriate for RFP responses, proposal development, pitch presentations, and budgeting
Provide strategic leadership to marketing & medical affairs clients in the development of innovative disease state and branded promotional medical communications programs
Manage projects from concept to completion including budgets
Actively grow and promote the companys products and services (Organic Growth)
Lead pre-launch and promotional campaigns such as (advisory boards, symposia, websites, digital case history programs, speaker slide kits, speaker training meetings, etc.)
Ensure programs meet or exceed assigned client expectations and are delivered on time
Effective communication with clients, faculty and staff members at all levels
Keep Sr Management aware of all internal and client issues as needed
Proactively provide client with points of view and recommendations on business building, market research and competitive activities
Develop key client relationships and internal relationships
Appropriate utilization of agency resources
At least 8 or more years of Promotional Medical Education/ Medical Communications Account/Client Services industry experience
Bachelors Degree in Science, Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field
Experience managing an account/accounts with annual value of $3+ million dollars
Diabetes and/or Cardio metabolic experience desired, other therapeutic experience considered
Strong team player, as well as individual drive to succeed and work independently
Strong organizational and projects management skills and attention to detail
