Jackson Hewitt is seeking a dynamic Director of Finance Transformation , reporting to the CFO, this person will lead the delivery of Business Process Improvement and Financial Systems Transformation initiatives including ERP enhancements, Corporate Performance Management, Procure to Pay automation, Sourcing initiatives, and Treasury Automation.


Key area of focus is on core finance operations and understanding underlying processes in the various Finance and Accounting areas and how to improve those processes. Person will serve as team member who can understand current state processes and propose improvements to such processes, many times in the context of how a technology platform can support such processes.

  • Translate vaguely defined business questions into specific customer insights projects, able to take programs from concept to completion.

  • Identify issues, define symptoms and recommend solutions.

  • Responsible for leading the development of change management strategies, plans and communications for Finance department.

  • Work with all support groups to ensure operational efficiency including legal, tax, compliance, regulatory, human resources partnership, risk, marketing and strategy.

  • Provide analytical support to senior managers for key decisions related to the business; including pricing, marketing effectiveness, trend analysis, scenario analysis and identifying and tracking KPIs.

  • Lead monthly business review meetings with CFO and CEO to discuss results, initiatives, project status variances to budget and projections.

  • Decisions having a lasting impact on area of responsibility with the potential to impact outside area of responsibilities.


  • Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting, Technology or related field preferred.

  • PMP, CPA, or advanced certification preferred

  • 6+years of finance transformation experience required.

  • Client facing consulting experience preferred

  • Strong project planning, scoping and management skills required

  • Strong business process analysis & design and process flow skills required

  • Business Acumen: Strong understanding of business fundamentals and the impact of competitive, economic, global and market forces on business performance, executive decision making and value creation.

  • Finance Operations: Expertise in finance operations both from a historical transaction processing (OTC/PTP/RTR, etc.), policy and process perspective, but also from a forward looking strategic enabler of data analytics for profitable growth and decision support.

  • Strategic Planning: Comfort and experience working with senior executives to develop a corporate or divisional identity, mission, vision and operating philosophy, while operationalizing those strategies using tactical investments, projects and action plans;

  • Organization Design and Development: The ability to understand the distinctive needs of a companys organizational capabilities and design/re-deploy existing and newly acquired talent to lead and enable a future-state agenda.

  • ERP and other relevant financial software implementation experience preferred (Oracle R12, Coupa, Prophix, or related software)

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and customer relationship skills

  • Capacity to work in a deadline-driven environment while handling multiple projects/tasks simultaneously with a focus on details
