AVP, Process Improvement Specialist

Responsible for development, pilot and execution of process improvement initiatives across PRS, uses tools from Six Sigma, LEAN, Project Management and Change Management to identify and implement Process Automation use cases.


  • Develop continuous improvement initiatives, consult with, and influence internal stakeholders, creating value and buy-in
  • Participate in multiple process improvement/automation initiatives through the use of measurements, analysis and discussion of process alternatives to arrive at viable solutions and best practices
  • Document and baseline existing or future state processes, identify areas of significant opportunity
  • Identify and document opportunities for process automation; manage the continuous improvement process for Automation Initiatives
  • Analyze and observe processes to understand process steps, inter-dependencies, and applications used to complete transactions
  • Identify processes that are suitable for automation, and provide recommendations to re-engineer processes to improve automation potential
  • Coordinate with the IT development teams, business owners, and other relevant stakeholders to define requirements, design, develop, test, and deploy solutions.
  • Prepare recommendations for presentation to senior management for the prioritization and execution of process re-engineering efforts
  • Present recommendations to stakeholders and business leaders that are compelling to motivate and drive change
  • Develop project plans and/or execution framework for assigned activities
  • Communicate project status, issues and risks to project sponsor on a regular basis
  • Ensure sustainable measurement systems for key deliverables are in place for each project
  • Drive implementation of solutions within the business where required

Responsible for measuring, tracking and reporting of benefits on an ongoing basis up through one year after project completion


  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a technical, finance, or business discipline, MBA or other advanced degree a plus
  • Insurance or Financial Services experience preferred
  • Management consulting experience a plus
  • Certified Six Sigma Green Belt, Black Belt, Lean or equivalent training/ certification
  • Evidence of impact in driving Process Automation and continuous Process Improvement experience; 3 years of robotic process automation (RPA) experience a plus
  • Process orientation with strong attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to properly deconstruct the problem and determine viable solution options using data as a guide
  • Strong attention to details, clear understanding of root cause analysis and ability to suggest resolutions
  • Demonstrated ability to rapidly acquire knowledge in a technical area
  • Solid capability to execute tasks with quality, within deadlines and a positive impact on customer experience
  • Robust communications/ presentation skills, verbal and written
  • Project management experience
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and working under time constraints in support of various assignments
  • Self-motivated, results-driven and well organized individual
  • Advanced proficiency with VISIO, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint
