OverviewWe are currently seeking a Sr. Counsel to join our Mt. Laurel, NJ office. This position will serve as legal counsel with wide-ranging experience and technical expertise to provide expert advice to business leaders at CFS pertaining to significant matters. In addition to practicing as a Senior Councel level this position directs the activities of internal and external counsel focused on multiple practice areas among complex contracts negotiation, Uniform Commercial Code, advertising and marketing, compliance, confidentiality and non-disclosure, government contracting, employment, vendor and supplier contracts, litigation, anti-trust, commercial transactions, data secruity and privacy and software licensing. Responsibilities- Render legal advice and draft, negotiate and review legal agreements covering a broad range of transactional matters - Assist tax department with the legal aspects of tax audits, protests, and other tax compliance matters - Oversee review and acceptance of dealer forms of lease agreement and other contract documentation for independent dealer lease assignment program - Prepare and negotiate legal documentation for dealer inventroy finance program, including inter-creditor agreements with senior secured lenders - Provide legal support to business stakeholders in the development of new commercial finance programs, strategic projects, and Canon inter-company initiatives - Liaise with legal counsel from all Canon Americas divisions on transactional and strategic matters and serve as legal subject matter expert on leasing and financing related issues - Provide legal assistance to the CFS social responsibility committee for company fundraisers, raffles and other events - Render legal support to HR for sensitive employee relations matters requiring the exercise of discretion and diplomacy - Deliver legal training presentations to Canon business Qualifications- Requires a Juris Doctor and admission to a state bar - Minimum of 8-10 years of related experience Company OverviewAbout our Company - Canon Financial Services, Inc.
