The Trauma Program Director is a registered professional nurse who is responsible for the effective and efficient operation of the trauma service. He/she works collaboratively with all members of the healthcare team, patients, and families both directly and indirectly to promote quality clinical care. He/she works under the direction of the Trauma Medical Director to ensure and maintain that the trauma program is in compliance with all established regulations. The Trauma Program Director is responsible for the direct supervision of all administrative elements of the program and personnel, including the Injury Prevention/HVIP Manager, Trauma Nurse Registrar, and Trauma Administrative Assistant, and Hospital-Based Violence Intervention Program staff.
Current NJ RN license
Master s Degree in Nursing or related field
BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC Certifications
Minimum of 5 years experience in Emergency/Trauma or Critical Care Nursing
Minimum of 3 years progressive nursing leadership experience
